# Getting started

> Your first agent in Agent host: pick a template, write what it is for, deploy it, chat with it and approve a risky action. About twenty minutes.

Source: https://agenthost.geenius.io/docs/getting-started/

This walk-through takes about twenty minutes.

## Before you begin

Agent host is in early access. Sign in with Geenius OS if you have a paid plan, or [request access](/request-access/) and choose a plan once the team approves it. On Pro, add your own model key first. See [models and keys](/docs/models-and-keys/).

## 1. Create an agent

Start from a template (inbox triage, research digest or a Geenius OS project reporter) or from an empty agent. See [define an agent](/docs/define-an-agent/).

## 2. Set its tools

Turn on web fetch or search if it needs them, and add a connector if it should reach other software. Mark the read-only tools. See [connectors](/docs/connectors/).

## 3. Save and deploy

Every save is a version. Deploy one. See [versions](/docs/versions/).

## 4. Chat

Open the chat and talk to it. See [chat](/docs/chat/).

## 5. Decide

If it wants to do something risky, an approval appears. Read it and decide. See [approvals](/docs/approvals/).
