Skills and knowledge

Skills and knowledge in an Agent host agent are plain text that goes into its prompt: how to write them and what not to put in.

Skills are named instructions, for example how to summarise or how to label. Knowledge is named text the agent can rely on, such as opening hours or a price list.

Both go into the agent's prompt, so keep them short and true. Do not put secrets in either: they are text the model reads. Connector secrets have their own place; see connectors.

An agent defined in Prompt Verse brings its skills and knowledge with it. See Prompt Verse.
